I am considering a home loan modification to reduce my interest rate (and thus my payment), but I was told by the mortgage company it has a negative affect on one's credit score, but they couldn't give me details. I don't want to refinance as I probably won't remain in the ...

I’m in the process of refinancing my home. I’ve never been late on payments everything is good. Last week while talking to the loan officer I asked her about the foreclosure process that’s it. Today I receive an email that my application has been withdrawn because of my “intentions” to foreclose. Can they do that ? I think it’s a bunch of bull.

i can repay approx $1000 per month and the kitchen will cost $6500. should i just re mortgage and pay this extra money from my home or on the card? also if there are any finance people reading this will it be quicker to put it on my home and pay the extra per month? credit card about 12% home loan around 5.2%

I’m 30 years old and I make a decent salary. I’ve been renting forever, and everyone keeps telling me I’d be better off to buy a house. So, I’m considering it. But when I sit down and calculate what my monthly expenses will be with a mortgage, it seems I’ll have NO “free” money left. All of my money will go to bills! How do you single homeowners do it? Are you broke all the time? Did you take in a roommate? Do you work 2 jobs? I know other single homeowners who make less money than I do, and they seem to be doing OK. But I don’t want to seem nosey and ask them about their personal finances. Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks! I’m looking in the $100-$125K price range for a home…nothing fancy by any means! There’s not much around here for less than that, unless it’s a complete dump that would be better off bulldozed to the ground. It’s not that I can’t afford the mortgage, but I just don’t want to be totally covered up in debt and have nothing left after paying the bills. I know people do it all the time, and they’re just fine. It just seems like it doesn’t look good on paper…?? I don’t know, I think I’m confusing myself now LOL.

When I was 18 my sister thought that It would be a good idea for me to buy a home instead of renting, She cosigned the loan and I moved in. My mortgage is $1,532 a month. Now im 22 I cant get a car loan, I cant get a decent rate for college, I cant get in to the military because my mortgage is to high. I just want the house out of my name. My sister made at lot of money when I first moved in but now shes broke, she tryed to refinance it out of my name but here credit wasn’t high enough anymore, and she told me that its going to go into foreclosure next month. That’s going to hurt my credit for a long time. This was all her idea for me to get a house and now im screwed. I need to find a way to get this house out of my name so it wont hurt my credit if it goes into foreclosure. Getting this house has been nothing but a nightmare! Can anyone tell me how I can get my name off the mortgage. We cant sell it, We cant rent it, We cant refinance what can I do?

Im not sure that i am understanding how it works…. what i am looking at is: I have a mortgage of 62,000 my home is valued at around 110,000 … i would like to refinance 95,000 (figuring 3000.00 in paperwork fees and 30,000 cahs out)……. so how would a va loan work in that instance???? WHat would i be looking at payment wise??? ok that just sounds like a SCAM!
